Women Behaving Badly was founded by Tammy Barrows, bookstore manager. She knows her books, and knows what women want in their books...

The founder of the Women Behaving Badly (WBB) fundraising event, Tammy Barrows, the General Manager of Books a Million, created the Women Behaving Badly gathering out of the need to recognize woman authors.

Every other year, in conjunction with South Dakota's Festival of the Book, Women Behaving Badly featured authors from diverse styles, including fashionista vampires, women as gun-toting detectives, biker women in the Black Hills, or women who write novels with an erotic flair. Three or four authors, many New York Times bestselling authors speak.

Women Behaving Badly operates under the umbrella of the Backroom Productions non-profit status. All proceeds are directed to the Dacoda Instrument Drive providing refurbished band and orchestra instruments for Rapid City School music students without the family resources to purchase or rent an instrument.

Men will be allowed into the author's show if accompanied by a Badly Behaved Woman.
